About this platform

Natureandpoverty.net is a knowledge and learning network for practitioners working on nature conservation, sustainable use of natural resources, poverty eradication, social and environmental justice and organisational capacity building. This website is an online platform that lets you connect with people and organisations, share experiences, and find tools and resources, to provide you with easy and timely access to experts, field-based knowledge and insights for your daily work.

Objectives of the platform

The online platform Natureandpoverty.net is set up to increase understanding and effective action on the linkage between nature and poverty, and to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, impact and the sustainability of field projects and interventions you and your organisation are involved in, and thereby of the participating organisations themselves.

Connect to people and organisations

Natureandpoverty.net lets you interact directly with other practitioners. Through the forum discussions, events and professional profiles on this platform, you can share the information you have or need on issues that are relevant to you, and keep up-to-date on relevant conferences, workshops, and other opportunities to connect with peers.

Share experiences and cases

Natureandpoverty.net stimulates the active sharing of practice-based knowledge. It provides opportunities for cross-fertilization on the level of experiences between network partners and other stakeholders. The platform aims to be a single-point-access for you to share lessons learned, case studies, and good practices in using relevant tools and resources to make your work more effective.

Find tools and resources

The Natureandpoverty.net platform provides access to background information and important tools and documents, thematic streams highlighting essential reading, and pointers to the websites and resources that help you in your daily work, and offer opportunities for professional development of yourself and your organisation.
