Reasons to participate

Hivos participates in Natureandpoverty.net because Hivos wants to improve its impact based on a better insights in themes relevant for green development. By exchanging knowledge and information Hivos aims to contribute to those insights and also to learn and improve its own insights and capacities to handle these themes. Hivos is interested to bring in its own knowledge and its network of partners and expects other network members to also work with us on specific challenging themes and together create innovative next steps.

Natureandpoverty.net is a knowledge and learning network for practitioners working on nature conservation, sustainable use of natural resources, poverty eradication, social and environmental justice and organisational capacity building. This website is an online platform that lets you connect with people and organisations, share experiences, and find tools and resources, to provide you with easy and timely access to experts, field-based knowledge and insights for your daily work.

Objectives of the platform

The online platform Natureandpoverty.net is set up to increase understanding and effective action on the linkage between nature and poverty, and to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, impact and the sustainability of field projects and interventions you and your organisation are involved in, and thereby of the participating organisations themselves.

Connect to people and organisations

Natureandpoverty.net lets you interact directly with other practitioners. Through the forum discussions, events and professional profiles on this platform, you can share the information you have or need on issues that are relevant to you, and keep up-to-date on relevant conferences, workshops, and other opportunities to connect with peers.
