Types of groups
Within the context of the Natureandpoverty.net platform we work with 3 different types of groups:
Organisations
Events
Themes
Everyone who is registered on the platform can create groups of either one of these three types. By creating a new group you will automatically become manager/admin of this group. Your profile on the Connect to people and organisations tab will display your active membership of groups you are involved in.
Suggested next steps:
- Create an organisation group to feature your own organisation (or project/programme)
- Create an event group to feature a special event, for example a meeting or workshop. Keep in mind that you can use an event group to prepare for such a meeting: ask people to join your group and share their input for this meeting by uploading documents, practices or news. By doing so you can ease this process and centralise it on this platform!
- Create a theme group when you like to feature a special theme.
Please keep in mind that you can insert cross-linkages between different groups, organisations and related events.
When visiting a group you will again see the division Connect, Share and Find (as featured on the HomePage of Natureandpoverty.net). In the context of a group Connect leads to people and organisations related to this group, Share gives you the option to feature your documents, practices and news related to this group. And Find: search here for all content belonging to this group.
