What is a group?
A group at the Natureandpoverty.net website is a place on the website where data - related to a certain organisation, a certain event or a certain theme - is gathered. It is meant to be a filter of all the data and registered users of the platform. So - for example - you are able to search faster for information you want about one particular organisation or you can see which people are involved in a certain event.
The goal of the Natureandpoverty.net platform is: to facilitate practitioners in the involved 'work-area' to connect to each other, to share experiences, practices & lessons learned that can be beneficial to others working in the same field and to find useful and relevant information by exploring shared tools and resources. Groups are an important tool for realizing this.

Some examples of how groups can be beneficial for you on this platform:
- by joining a group you can show your interest for a particular subject and people can directly connect you on that subject;
- by creating a group you can highlight a particular subject (theme) you think needs attention. You can invite people to join or to upload their resources relevant to the theme for sharing and learning purposes and/or start a discussion on the same subject via the available forum function.
Feel free to create a group for your particular purposes! This platform aims to be as open as possible.
