Create a group

You can create a group (organisation, event, theme) by clicking Create a group in the right hand sidebar. You will enter the page Create a group.

Name: give an appropriate name to your group. Please don't exceed the maximum of 45 characters (for subtitles there is separate field).

Type of group: at this platform we work with 3 different types of groups. Please select one of the types (or read more help at Types of groups >>

Short name for navigation: for example: the Theme Biodiversity and livelihood impacts of climate change has this short name for navigation: Theme BLICC. The Event Netherlands, Amsterdam, March 27 & 28, 2008 is given the short name for navigation Amsterdam-march08.

Subtitle: if needed, add a subtitle to your group name

For all types of groups: follow the instructions at the available fields.

Upload Images: images uploaded here are being showed in the header of your group. By navigating between the different types of groups you see the differences in layout of the headers.

- for Events: upload a picture for the header. This picture will be made to fit by cutting it out around the centre of the picture when it exceeds the size 500px width and 165px height. When uploading a bigger picture be sure that what is important of your picture is in the center of it. Be sure that your picture is not smaller than the mentioned size above.
- for Organisations: upload the logo of your organisation. If possible ask the designer of your logo to give you one in webformat. The image will be resized by the system to a size of 65px height.
- for Themes: upload a picture for the header. This picture will be made to fit by cutting it out around the centre of the picture when it exceeds the size 745px width and 165px height.  When uploading a bigger picture be sure that what is important of your picture is in the center of it. Be sure that your picture is not smaller than the mentioned size above.
